We have concluded our third week of work on your behalf in Richmond. I am particularly proud of the House Republican Caucus for remaining focused on "Practical Solutions to Everyday Issues."

Del. Scott Garrett, R-Lynchburg, filed a budget amendment last week for the 2018 General Assembly session that aim to stop the impending closure of the state-run Madison Heights facility that cares for those with physical and intellectual disabilities.
The Speaker of the House of Delegates has appointed Delegate T. Scott Garrett, M.D. to three standing committees. Delegate Garrett will continue to serve on the House Appropriations Committee, Transportation Committee, and Health, Welfare, & Institutions Committee, where he has additionally been appointed as Vice-Chairman.
