The House of Delegates approved a measure Thursday that would double the tax credit Virginia allows to people who purchase long-term care insurance policies.
House bill 1840, sponsored by Del. Scott Garrett, R-Lynchburg, passed on a 98-1 vote. It now goes to the Senate, where a similar measure was defeated in a committee last year.
